Arkham Horror7.0Very thematic, engaging and fun. It's too long, but that seems to be a problem with all these RPGish boardgames, so I'm not sure how that could be improved. I don't think I'd play this with more than 4-5 persons.
Arkham Horror - Curse of the Dark Pharaoh Expansion-
Armored Assault-
With Armored Assault: Armored Reserves.
Art of Wargaming, The-Looks good, but I have yet to read it. Curiously, the copy I got from a second hand seller is signed and inscribed by the author (I think) with a personal message to one of his collegues/students/friends at the Center for Naval Analyses, someone named Phil. Funny how old books always have stories to tell... who was Phil, what became of him, and how did this book end up in my hands?

BattleForce5.0Battleforce 1 was the first game I ever bought, with money I'd been saving up for months; I was looking to buy an RPG, but couldn't resist the cool robots on the cover. Have fond memories of it; I even programmed a software in BASIC that would let you pick the individual mechs you wanted for each unit and give you the appropriate BF stats for the counter. However, after I bought Battletech, this almost never came out again; it's very bland compared with BT, plus combats with individual mechs/vehicles were much appropriate as part of Mechwarrior, which ended up being the first RPG I bought.
Battlegroup-
Battlelines: The Stalingrad Campaign-
Battlelines: Drive on Stalingrad.
BattleLore8.0Compared to the other CC games, I'm not sure if the Lore rules adds as much fun to the game as to compensate for the extra layer of complexity/chaos it adds to the system. Also, I miss the historical scenarios historical introductions. Nevertheless, it's fun battling it out with monstruous creatures, armies special powers, and all that in a fantasy setting. Also, I rate it a little lower because the boxed game only comes with 10 scenarios.

2nd Edition *and* 4th Edition. Plus a lot of the old setting books and stuff.
Battletroops5.0
Berserker-
Betrayal at House on the Hill6.0The theme is nice and well developed but the game... well, the first half (before the haunt happens) there is *nothing* special to do except walk around and have good/bad things happen to you over which you have no control whatsoever. After the haunt happens, things get really interesting but... my God, the errata for the haunts is so long!

Blue Moon Expansion - The Mimix-Woohaa! I was playing Blue Moon with a friend at the FLGS when a dude shows up, sees the Mimix expansion besides us, and tells us he drew every single one of those cards (except the leader)! Incredible! My friend asked him to sign one of the cards (Young Fox, I think), the first that the artist created for the deck. Who would guess that a Portuguese drew all those cards with beautiful semi-naked women? Even after looking at credits, it seems hard to believe. Really cool!

Combat Commander: Battle Pack #1 - Paratroopers-
Combat Commander: Europe10.0This one's a real gem. Must be one of the most elegant wargame designs ever! I love all of its mechanics, the card-playing and handling, the random events, the random hexes, the dice on the cards, the hidden and the unexpected new objectives, etc; I just love every bit of it! I've been playing it whenever I get the chance, and have just bought my own copy.
Combat Commander: Mediterranean-

Frozen Hell, A-
Fury of Dracula-
Galactic Empires-
Galactic Expanse Starship Battles-
Galaxy Trucker9.0Very funny and engaging game. The theme is pretty well done, and the game plays really fast. Also, the rulebook... I think it's the first rulebook I actually enjoyed reading; it manages to be quite funny *and* teach you everything you need at the same time. I usually hate it when rulebooks try to be funny; this actually manages that with flying colors!
Galaxy: the Dark Ages-
Game of Thrones, A7.0After one play, I liked this a whole lot. The rules are simple, but very engaging. Our game took a bit too long and that put off some of my fellow boardgamers, but I think that after a few plays to get the hang of it, the game length will be just right for me.
Opened, but never played.
Gang of Four-
Gardens of the Alhambra, The-
Gheos-
Goa9.0Amazing game; so much to keep track off, so much options, so many paths to victory. Fell in love with it at first play. Must play this more and see how it holds up.

Guillotine8.0Incredibly funny! :)
Hacienda8.0
Hammer of the Scots10.0Woohaa! I can only wish all my next wargames will be as fun to learn and play like this one! Low unit count, real fog of war, few and simple mechanics yet so much depth and theme. The playing is totally assimetrical for each side and yet balanced. It's just fun, fun, fun. The time just flies away! The more I play it, the more I love it.
Second Edition.
Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage-
Hard Vacuum: Science Gone Mad-Got this cheap on e-bay. Now I just got to actually buy the original game!
Hey! That's My Fish!8.0Very fun filler! Lightning fast! Can't get enough of it! :) Surely one of the very best in its category; how many other games can there be where you can teach the entire rules in 1 minute and setup and play a full game in 15 with so much to it?

Long Live the King-
Lord of the Rings8.0One of the boardgames that started me on the path! Oozes with theme.
Lord of the Rings - Friends Foes8.0Adds more variety to the game, although it might make it a tad too easy to win (plus it's not that fun to win a military victory as it is win by destroying the ring as in the novels).
Lord of the Rings - Sauron-
Lord of the Rings - The Confrontation: Deluxe Edition-A Christmas 2006 present for the wife!

Panzer Grenadier Airborne Introductory Edition7.0The system is great; simple to learn and teach, but very thematic and engaging. The only letdown here is the subject matter scenarios; so far, they've been pretty bland. This because the map is too small and filled with river, swamp and bocage hexes... not the ideal territory if you're looking to make a fast war of movement and flanking your opponent. Also there are almost no tanks to speak off, and when there are, they just get bogged down in the swamp if they leave the road that takes them straight to the enemy. Still, it's a great bargain and the small-scale scenarios are perfect for learning the ropes.

Runebound Second Edition7.0Runs way too long, otherwise it's a fine RPGish boardgame. Also, it could have more interaction between players. I like it play it with as few as 2 players, so there won't be much downtime. The charater decks are a real cool add-on although they make the game last a bit longer.
Russian Rails-
Saboteur5.0Small game. I love the concept of games where there is / might be a hidden traitor, because (me being a roleplayer and all) I have fun trying to bluff/con/cheat/lead/mislead others using everything at my disposal. This game, however, didn't cut it for me so far. It's relatively easy to tell who's a saboteur in our games, and there seems to be little advantage to being subtle; if other players block you, you can still block them in return and play those powerful cave-in cards at the worst possible time.
San Juan7.0Found it a little bland and I was playing it with only 2 players (where the game is said to shine), but I'm sure the rating will go up a bit with more plays.
Scarab Lords-

Space Blast7.0After going over the rules, I wasn't expecting much but... this one really surprised me. Light, funny, not boring at all, and plays much faster and smoother than one would guess. I'm looking forward to trying this with more than 3 players; I'm guessing the chaos will add to the fun and the laughs! :)
Space Dealer-
Space Station Assault3.0Didn't like it very much. It felt too simple, not much to do or think about, and it feels like there's only one sure way to win: attack the enemy space station.

Tannhäuser-
Tannhäuser: Yula Körlitz-
Target Arnhem: Across 6 Bridges7.0Very nice little wargame! Has all the basic stuff from bigger wargames compressed into a solid and fast-playing design, with only two pages of simple rules! Just maybe not too replayable; there are only so many strategies you can try.

Thurn and Taxis8.0
Ticket to Ride10.0Wow! When I first played this one, early in my boardgaming career in January 2005, I couldn't understand what the fuss was about. Was this really the game that drew so many to the hobby, that some people played dozens and dozens and dozens of times and couldn't get enough? Bah. Fast forward to two years later: Thurn und Taxis the Marklin edition of Ticket to Ride had recently won my heart, so I decided it was time to give the original TtR another chance. Although the simpler mechanics seemed somewhat bland after having playing TtR Marklin, guess what, I liked this one best! The passenger mechanics make Marklin a more complex game, sure, but they don't add all that much fun in return for making the game more difficult to manage and harder to absorb.
Ticket to Ride: Europe9.0
Ticket to Ride: Märklin Edition9.5This was the first version of TtR that won me over (also, it helped that I had recently become enamourated of Thurn und Taxis, which is a wholy different game but with which TtR Marklin shares some similarities). I would never guess that the simpler original version of TtR would then become my favorite TtR after I gave it another shot; the passenger mechanics make Marklin a more complex game, sure, but they don't add all that much fun in return for making the game more difficult to manage and harder to absorb.

Whistling Death10.0A flight simulator passing off as a board(war)game? Wow. The number of scenarios planes included (and their historical notes) is just mind-boggling. A true labour of love from the designer. It's a game you could play for the rest of your life, so endless are the possibilities. So the components are not really top-notch, like most wargames being published today, but the game is worth it.
